Exhibition: IMPROMPTU

The Architecture Society presents

IMPROMPTU

Impromptu is a school-sanctioned informal exhibition, as part of a student initiative organized by TAS. It is a five-day-long exhibition that ends on 21st Nov (Wednesday). All students are invited to exhibit their works, as we feel that everyone’s efforts for one entire semester ought to be recognised better through public display.

We invite anyone and everyone to the exhibition. General public and people interested in NUS Architecture (or Architecture for that matter) are welcome to walk in to the SDE studios to observe the works on display. We further encourage NUS Architecture students to take the opportunity to discover what your juniors, peers and seniors have been working on, and learn from one another. We urge you to also invite your friends and family to the exhibition.

CityEx 2013: Commune

socialmedia-01

The annual City Exhibition showcasing the works of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design students form the NUS School of Architecture is back!

The exhibition will give an insight into the development of our students’ design and problem-solving skills through Years One to Five, and will surely engage design enthusiasts from all background. This year sees the exhibition back at the centrally-located URA Centre along Maxwell Road, so do drop by for an eye-opening experience.

Our theme this year is Commune, relating directly to a confluence of people to live in close contact with one another. The exchange of possessions, responsibilities and intimate thoughts is key to fostering a culture of sharing, adapting and accommodating; a culture where communication within the community creates and define the experience.

Come commune with us.

Join us for the Opening Ceremony of City Exhibition 2013 on the 28 of June, 6:30pm at The URA Centre
Guest of Honour: Mr. Chan Sui Him, Chairman of the NUS School Advisory Committee

City Exhibition 2013: Commune runs from 28 June to 13 July at The URA Centre at 45 Maxwell Road.
Admission is free.

CityEx 2012 – UN/FOLDING

28th June – 28th July 2012 |Opening at 6.30pm on 28th June, Thursday | The URA Centre, Atrium
Opened to public only from 29th June 2012 onwards.

City Exhibition (CityEx) is an annual exhibition organized by The Architecture Society, to showcase the year’s works of NUS Architecture students in the city. Graciously hosted by the URA Center, CityEx 2012: Un/Folding, focuses on the continual development of students as they progress from Year 1 to 5.
Year on year the education process results in an expansion of work scope and depth of thinking that students show towards their Project. Experience gained from past projects serve to become a palette of information to propel the next project to dig deeper, to discover even more. The team therefore intends for the entire exhibition to be made out of a materials that can be recycled and reused for subsequent school projects or exhibitions, that becomes a platform of opportunity for students to unleash their greater potential.
